Hj Othman Bin Shaharum has developed vast working experiences in the government sector and semi-government agencies in his early working days. This lovable father of 4, then served in a civil engineering consulting firm and had involved in a multinational company that encompassed construction and expressway maintenance for 12 years. A few renowned mega projects that he had experienced alongside were expressway constructions, rectifications, and maintenance for Malaysia’s major world-class expressways namely North-South Expressway and Linkedua.

His professionalism as a consultant with Opus International, PLUS, and involvement with the Elite Expressway was indeed remarkable and conclusive. Being in the corporate world for nearly 12 years enabled him to further advance into the financial service industry where he foresaw many opportunities for his career advancement and helped others towards reaching another milestone in life.

Hj Othman pivoted his career in 2002. Until present, his working experience predominantly resides in the Takaful business for over 20 years. Sailing through as a part-time agent, his achievements shine as the Star Club member in a prominent Takaful company then on, bagging multiple prestigious awards as Top Unit Manager in consecutive years and claiming overseas incentives starting from China, Europe, and the United States to name a few as he crossed the yearly Million Dollar Agency recognitions.

When joined the industry over 2 decades and established his ‘zero to hero’ journey, his rich experience and wisdom often landed him the title ‘the man with a great force character’, an eloquent speaker, and he is generally respected because of his brilliant, cultured presentations to the Takaful arena.
